VTT develops novel Extruder that can turn problematic Waste into Pellets

Espoo, FinlandVTT‘s cylindrical extruder promises to revolutionise the processing of recyclable materials and thereby promote circular economy business. The extruder can be used, for example, to turn problematic textiles and plastics as well as food waste into pellets. The first prototype has already exceeded the industrial steering group’s expectations during initial testing. TOMRA Autosort Color separates Glass from Municipal Solid Waste at high Throughput

Mülheim-Kärlich, Germany TOMRA Sorting Recycling has introduced “Autosort Color”, a new machine which works in combination with “Autosort Laser” to separate glass from municipal solid waste with unprecedented effectiveness. According to TOMRA, Autosort color achieves purity rates greater than 95% at high throughput rates, even when input materials are wet, dusty or dirty.

Metso receives Orders for seven Waste Shredders in China

Helsinki, Finland Metso has received orders to supply a total of seven M&J 4000S waste shedders to three waste incineration customers in China. The 4000 shredder series meets the special needs of extremely varied incoming material. The orders will be delivered in the first quarter of 2019. The new shredders will operate in the Zhejihang, Jiangsu and Xinjiang provinces.

Consortium signs Project Development Agreement for Waste-to-Chemistry Facility in Rotterdam

Montréal (QC), Canada – A consortium of companies comprising Air Liquide, AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, Enerkem and the Port of Rotterdam has signed a project development agreement covering initial investments in an advanced waste-to-chemistry facility in Rotterdam. The facility will be the first of its kind in Europe to provide a sustainable alternative solution for non-recyclable wastes, converting waste plastics and other mixed wastes into new raw materials.

Hitachi Zosen Inova to build the World’s largest Energy from Waste Plant in Dubai
