Metso expands Foundry Capacity to meet growing Demand for Wear Parts in Mining and Aggregates

Helsinki, Finland Metso is investing in the development of its foundry capacity in Vadodara, India. The initial investment includes the acquisition of the property and foundry assets of a privately-owned foundry project, Mega Cast. Metso expects to invest a total of approx. EUR 25 million to purchase the assets and to develop the foundry by 2020.

Metso wins a Pellet Plant Equipment Order from JSW Steel in India

Helsinki, Finland Metso has won a significant order to deliver a pellet plant, including grinding, filtration and a pyro-processing pellet plant to a large-scale steel operation of JSW Steel Ltd. in India. This new order is Metso’s largest global pellet plant delivery, and the single largest installation for Metso 2040-60 Vertical Plate Pressure Filters VPA, which are used in heavy-duty dewatering applications.

TAKRAF 700-liter Bucket-Wheel Excavator starts Operation at major Lignite Mine in India

Leipzig, Germany – A major mining and power generation company in India, has recently put into operation a new TAKRAF designed and built BWE of 700-liter capacity at an important lignite mining operation. The order for the machine, with a design capacity of 1400 m3/h, was issued to TAKRAF’s Indian office in 2015 and encompassed the design, manufacture, assembly/erection of all mechanical, structural, electrical components, testing, commissioning and hand over.

Toyo Engineering awarded large-scale Fertilizer Complex Project in India

Chiba, Japan – Toyo Engineering Corporation has been awarded a contract for a project to construct a large-scale fertilizer complex in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh state, India. The fertilizer complex will be composed of an ammonia plant with a capacity of 2200 tpd, a urea plant with a capacity of 3850 tpd, and a utility supply facility.

BHEL wins Order for 3×800 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant in Jharkhand, India

New Delhi, India – Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won a Rs.11,700 Crore (approx. USD 1.7 Billion) order for setting up a 3×800 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Jharkhand. The order for setting up the 3×800 MW Patratu Super Thermal Power Station Expansion, Phase-I has been placed on BHEL by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL – a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. in Joint Venture with Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited).
