Siwertell: First Installation of new Modular Conveyor System in Indonesia at Asahimas Chemical’s Coal Intake Terminal

Bjuv, Sweden – With the first installation of its new, modular conveyor system in Indonesia at a coal intake terminal in Cilegon, operated by industrial chemical producer, Asahimas Chemical, Siwertell shows that innovation is a welcome aspect of the bulk handling industry. Used to transfer bulk cargoes from unloaders to depot, this modularised version of Siwertell’s standard belt conveyor system was developed in late 2014.

Neponset (IL), United States Martin Engineering has helped mitigate dust emissions at the underground limestone mine of a cement production plant by implementing an innovative transfer point solution.  Using a specially-designed dust control unit (DCU) to spray a surfactant onto both sides of the cargo stream during transfer onto the main conveyor, Martin Engineering was able to help Continental Cement Company, LLC, suppress fugitive dust both along the underground belt path and during discharge at the outdoor storage yard.
