On July 15, 2015 Ute and Reinhard Wöhlbier visited their customer GEROLDINGER in Sigharting, Austria, not too far from Passau in Bavaria. We were welcomed by Walter Geroldinger, Managing Director and Johannes Scherleitner, Manager, Sales & Marketing.

The castle (which was founded before 1025) was transferred to the Wittelsbachs after the death of the last count of Burghausen, Gebhard II, in 1168. In 1180 they were appointed dukes of Bavaria and the castle was extended under Duke Otto I of Wittelsbach.
The 800 year old monastery church in Raitenhaslach is well worth visiting. Built on a Roman core, the grandiose, baroque building with its rococo features makes a stunning impression. In 1806 the former monastery church became the parish church. The interior of the church has always been renovated according to the current art style. The altars, frescoes, and the cloister with the grave stones are particularly impressive.

Radiometric Level Measurement for Products with Natural Radioactivity
Special applications require special solutions. It is not unusual that products where the level is measured contain natural radioactivity. For example, in the processing of uranium ores where the level of uranium sludge is measured.
Likewise in the production of plastics, under certain circumstances radioactive isotopes can be present in the process gas*. The radioactivity contained in the measured material may interfere with the radiometric level measurement because the measuring material is recognised as a second radiation source.
Berthold Technologies with its LB 480 SENSseries now offers a radiometric level measurement, which cannot be influenced by the radioactive material to be measured. The feature PRC (Product Radiation Compensation) ensures, by means of independent activity measurement and integrated compensation, for a reliable and accurate level measurement.
