Modern Process Equipment: Chain-Vey for Flour outperforms Screw Conveyors and Pneumatic Conveyors

Chicago (IL), United States A large flour producer in the US manufactures and distributes corn flour as an ingredient in various food products. Roughly one year ago plant engineers installed three 6-inch Chain-Vey tubular drag conveyors for the transport of yellow and white corn flour. The Chain-Veys supplied by Modern Process Equipment (MPE) replaced screw conveyors and pneumatic conveyors that resulted in poor customer feedback with product being out of spec.

ICM and The Andersons form JV to build Bio-Refinery located in Colwich, Kansas, USA

Colwich (KS), United States – ICM, Inc., a global leading biofuels process technology provider, and The Andersons, Inc., a publicly-traded company with diverse interests encompassing a variety of agribusinesses, are partnering to own and construct ELEMENT, LLC, a 70 Million-Gallon-per-Year  (approx. 265 million liters) bio-refinery located in Colwich, Kansas, USA.
