Copenhagen, Denmark – On June 19, 2019, FLSmidth together with Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc (SGTM) signed a contract with TEKCIM S.A. to co-deliver a full cement plant with a capacity of 3600 tonnes per day. The plant will be built in Ouled Ghanem in Morocco’s El-Jadida province and is scheduled to be fully operational in the third quarter of 2022. Valby, Denmark – FLSmidth has signed a contract for a greenfield cement plant with Abay Industrial Development Share Company. The plant will be located near the city of Dejen in Ethiopia. The contract is valued at around EUR 100 million. Completion of the order is expected during the second quarter of 2022, and once fully operational the plant will have a capacity of 5,000 tonnes per day. Irving (TX), United States – On August 2, 2018, Fluor Corporation announced that it continues to support BHP in the delivery of the South Flank iron ore project located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, which commenced construction in July. The project will be the largest iron ore processing facility ever built in Western Australia.
Somerset (NJ), USA – BEUMER Corporation’s Conveying and Loading Division has been awarded a contract to design, supply and install a nearly four-mile overland conveying system at Knight Hawk Coal’s Prairie Eagle Mine in Illinois. The curved trough overland conveyor system will carry coal from Knight Hawk’s new underground mine portal to its main coal preparation plant at Prairie Eagle.
Valby, Denmark – KAZ Minerals in Kazakhstan has selected FLSmidth as their technology partner for a new, 75,000 tonnes per day copper concentrator line at Aktogay. FLSmidth’s scope of supply includes the key machines, installation supervision, commissioning, start-up and ramp-up support. The total order value is more than USD 100 million.
