Each bulk bag unloader station is constructed of thick-wall, 6-inch by 4-inch carbon steel structural tubing, and heavy-gauge carbon steel plate to meet, or exceed, ANSI and ASME specifications. The controls and automation architecture of the 5-station system uses custom PLCs and HMIs engineered, programmed, and built by NBE to integrate to the process facility’s central control system, while also complying with international standards.

Bulk Bag Unloader Provides Closed-cycle Dust Containment; Protects Personnel from Migrant Dust, Improves Bag Spouting Efficiency, and Protects Process Operations from Contaminants

(NBE) – This NBE bulk bag unloader was designed, engineered, and built to address specific dust reduction, and process operation efficiency requirements identified by NBE during the application assessment. A non-NBE unit, that was previously in operation, often caused material dust release during the bag spouting sequence; presenting operator hazards and slowing process cycle times and changeovers. In response, NBE developed a process-specific bulk bag discharger that enables the operator to easily and properly spout the bulk bag while simultaneously enclosing the bag spout interface within the NBE E3® closed-cycle dust recovery system.

The BFC model discharger frame is equipped with a cantilevered I-beam and electric hoist and trolley for positioning of bulk bags without the use of a forklift. The bag lifting frame is equipped with patented Z-CLIP™ bag strap holders that allow rapid insertion and removal of bag straps.

The BFC model discharger frame is equipped with a cantilevered I-beam with electric hoist and trolley for positioning of bulk bags without the use of a forklift. A SPOUT-LOCK™ clamp ring atop a TELE-TUBE™ telescoping tube securely connects the clean side of the bag spout to the clean side of the equipment intake, and maintains constant downward tension on the bag as it empties and elongates, promoting complete discharge from the bag.
