Essen, Germany – thyssenkrupp’s plant engineering business has won a major order from the Egyptian chemical and fertilizer manufacturer NCIC (El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals). The order for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a new fertilizer complex was signed in Cairo on March 17, 2019. thyssenkrupp is realizing the project in a consortium with the Egyptian company PETROJET. Chiba, Japan – Toyo Engineering Corporation has been awarded a contract for a project to construct a large-scale fertilizer complex in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh state, India. The fertilizer complex will be composed of an ammonia plant with a capacity of 2200 tpd, a urea plant with a capacity of 3850 tpd, and a utility supply facility.
