The highlights:
The Brabender FlexWall® 20 feeder is a new member in the FlexWall® feeder family. Just like all other well known feeders from this product line, their "little brother" is also equipped with a polyurethane hopper massaged by two external paddles providing real mass flow of ingredient. The feeder is capable of metering even poor flowing ingredients at low feed rates of just a few kilograms per hour. The feeder is easily disassembled without tools for wet or dry cleaning. The screw tube is held in place by a quick clamp, and the molded polyurethane hopper fits easily on the housing which is secured by latches allowing it to be lifted off for full access to all internal components. The screw and the paddles are driven by a brushless DC motor with an integrated speed controller. The FlexWall® 20 feeder is available as a volumetric unit or equipped with a digital two wire load cell as a hightech loss-in-weight feeder.
The new DDSR40B twin screw feeder has been developed especially for extremely difficult flowing ingredients. A multifunctional stirring agitator in the screw trough, a particularly large ingredient inlet and straight walled or steep sided extension hoppers provide mass flow even of ingredients that would otherwise require mechanical agitation in the extension hopper. The DDSR40B is on sale either as a volumetric feeder or with a hightech scale to allow gravimetric loss-in-weight feeding.
For bulk ingredient metering at laboratory rates Brabender offers the Brabender RotoTube Feeder, a miniature rotary tube feeder for pellets and granular ingredients, and the Brabender MiniTwin Feeder, one of the smallest twin screw metering feeders in the world. What they have in common is the capability of accurately metering ingredients at rates of a few grams per hour and the new brushless DC motors with integrated speed controllers. The two feeders are available as volumetric units or as scale mounted gravimetric feeders.
