Limena, Italy – Bedeschi has won a contract for the Delivery of two ship loaders and associated equipment from Kernel LLC for a new grain terminal at the Marine Trade Port of Chornomorsk, Ukraine. The Port of Chornomorsk, which is located on the north-western shore of Black Sea and to the south-west from Odessa, will benefit from the new grain terminal in 2018.
Kernel, one of the largest Ukraine producer and exporter of sunflower oil and supplier of agricultural products to the world market, wants to increase the simultaneous storage and handling capacity at its Chornomorsk establishment.
As part of this project, Bedeschi was awarded the supply of two slewing ship loaders with a capacity of 2200 tph for the handling of wheat, corn, barley, soy, flour etc., two fully enclosed rubber belt conveyors with a length of 28 m, and two tripper cars feeding the shiploaders.
All machines are equipped with special dust control systems, provided with three different types of filters and a telescopic chute that allows the equal distribution of the material, covering the whole surface of the vessel.
